A Message from Our CEO

District 3 Supervisor Lisa Swarthout and Grass Valley Mayor Jan Arbuckle recently co-chaired Sierra Nevada Memorial Hospital Foundation's Summer Residency Gala, a fundraiser to benefit the hospital's Family Medicine Residency Program.

The program is designed to recruit medical residents to our community, which has an estimated gap of 14 primary care physicians. Research shows that when physicians train in rural environments, they stay in rural communities.

Our County team is proud to support Sierra Nevada Memorial Hospital's ongoing work to ensure our community has access to high-quality healthcare. If you would like to learn more about the program or show your support, please go to the Sierra Nevada Family Medicine Residency program website.
