Please Plan To Join Us For 104th Nevada Farm Bureau Annual Meeting

We’re looking forward to seeing you in Mesquite, Nevada for the 2023 Nevada Farm Bureau Annual Meeting.  Please make your plans and the necessary arrangements to attend the Nevada Farm Bureau Annual Meeting.

Policy Ideas Surfacing For Support For Urban Agriculture

Ideas are beginning to surface as county Farm Bureau policy development discussions are surfacing matters which local Farm Bureau members are identifying as warranting consideration.  This idea collection process will continue leading up to the Nevada Farm Bureau annual meeting in Mesquite, NV and voting delegates will weigh in with their final approval of those policy positions which will be incorporated into the 2024 Nevada Farm Bureau policy book.  National issues will also be evaluated and those resolutions that are agreed to will be advanced to the American Farm Bureau Federation’s policy development system.

If you are wondering what current Farm Bureau policy has to say on any particular issue, click here and find out.  If you find that your area of interest isn’t covered, please pass along your idea of what should be added.  If you find that you are not in agreement with the current position, share this thinking with changes that you believe would be better.

Farm Bureau policy actions are the result of Farm Bureau members, working through the grassroots process to surface solutions that they want their organization to advocate for in their interest.

County Farm Bureau Annual Meetings Schedule Continues To Unfold

Congratulations to Clark County Farm Bureau for their successful 2023 County Farm Bureau Annual Meeting.  The evening’s dinner and activities, held at the school district’s farm in Logandale, offered the opportunity to celebrate the number of accomplishments that their county Farm Bureau had this past year.

Along with a successful food drive this past year and their award-winning Small Farm Conference, where they teamed up with Cooperative Extension to organize and hold the late August conference in North Las Vegas, the members attending the dinner meeting also learned that Clark County Farm Bureau recently became the 2nd county Farm Bureau in Nevada to achieve their membership growth goal for 2023.

We’re looking forward to additional county Farm Bureau meetings to be held around the state, leading up to the Nevada Farm Bureau 2023 Annual Meeting in Mesquite, NV – November 9-11.  The county Farm Bureau annual meeting schedule that we have at this time includes:

Food Purchasing Statistics Offer Insights To Emerging Trend

A recent American Farm Bureau Federation (AFBF) Focus piece identified a growing return to consumers spending their food dollars away from home.  This trend is an important change to recognize by those who produce food and contemplate strategies for their business enterprises.

Have a great weekend!
