One thing we can all agree on today is the fact that we shall take nothing for granted. We can never expect everything to remain the same. In fact, the COVID-19 pandemic has changed so many aspects of our lives, it’s kind of hard to remember what life was like before.
Resistance to change can cause unnecessary stress and anxiety, which is not healthy. It’s usually best to remain flexible. And with reflection and an open heart, we may find a COVID-related change or two that was actually for the good. One example is the many workers who have since proven that they can be trusted to work from home.
However, changes in your body are a different matter. Many are neither good nor acceptable, particularly when the change is the result of degradation.
COVID has put loss front and center, causing many of us to hug our loved ones a little tighter. Today I ask that you also give extra care to your body. Be careful to ensure that you’re not accepting changes that could skyrocket into a poor quality of life. Read the featured article for an important example.
Also, if you've experienced negative changes in your health recently, now is the time to contact the Center to see what might be done to improve your situation. Watch the video below (events section) for more information.
Like the green leaves that are preparing to leave the trees, take nothing for granted.
We’re here for you,
Dr. Pfeiffer
