Never Too Old…

Before we get to Bella’s story we wanted to let you know that we have raised almost $12,000 so far today.  We are a little over one-third of the way toward our goal of $32,000. If you have not had time to donate yet, and are able to do so, now would be a great time so we can keep working toward that goal.

HART routinely rescues senior dogs and cats, including many like Bella who are in their teens.

Bella is 13 and she and her friend Moe (who is 10) were someone’s hunting dogs and they spent their entire lives outside in a kennel.

When they were too old to hunt and were no longer “useful”, the hunter left them at a local animal shelter.

Thankfully we were able to rescue them both and what sweet dogs they are!

Bella was just adopted this past weekend by a wonderful couple who knows that a dog’s love and affection only gets better with age!

Getting some fresh air and freedom in her new home.
