Countdown to Respect Life Month

Hi Benjamin,

For many churches across the state, October is Respect Life Month, a great time to promote life!

We have released some new Louisiana-oriented resources for your church to promote help for pregnant and parenting moms and educate on the beauty and truth of human life in the womb!

The goal of Respect Life month is to ensure pastors and leaders are working to expose the travesty of abortion while also implementing new and creative support for women in crisis. Social media images featured below are available for immediate download.

Make sure to share with friends and family! We also have banners, flyers, posters and handouts that can be shared in your church. Please help us get these resources to your church!

I believe pro-life education is more important than ever given that a recent polling published by the Advocate indicates that Louisiana citizens still have questions about Louisiana's pro-life law and even want to change the law. But, unfortunately, that poll exacerbated the confusion and misguided citizens by asking an inaccurate question! I called out the Advocate for their erroneous question, but sadly, they published the poll anyway. You can read more about our thoughts on the poll and the Advocate's story here.

While the poll may be inaccurate, it still shows us that the pro-life movement MUST be serious about educating the citizens on Louisiana, even in our own churches!

Let's redouble our efforts to educate youth and adults alike with the pro-life message that every baby in the womb is precious and deserves our protection!

National Life Chain Sunday begins October 1st! Life chains are public, peaceful and prayerful events for pro-life citizens to show their love and devotion to babies and their mothers. And they are VERY simple to organize!

Currently we already have six Life Chains scheduled. The dates are below and you can learn more on our website!

• October 1st: Slidell
• October 1st: Patterson
• October 22nd: Covington
• October 22nd: Metairie
• November 11th: Lafayette

Please join us on September 30th in Thibodaux for a Protect Life Prayer Breakfast with Crossroads Pregnancy Center!

This event is in conjunction with Black Advocates for Life!

Please join us on October 13th for a New Orleans Night for Life at St. Francis Xavier Church. The event is free and open to the public. Dinner starts at 6PM.

Students can now register for Fall and Spring Pulse Immersions! These are Saturday crash courses that will cover why we’re pro-life and they help students become articulate pro-life advocates!

If you live in Central Louisiana please join other pro-life citizens for a rally to celebrate life with abortion survivor Michelle Smith on September 23rd.

Do you need a pro-life speaker for your school? Our Youth Programs Directors (Left to Right) Jacob Tonglet, Ashley Gilliam, and Trinity Wicker are available for talks across the state on abortion, euthanasia and other life-destroying actions!

Youth Director Ashley Gilliam and our College Pro-Life Exhibit was featured in the National Catholic Register. Gilliam said: “People associate a lot of times being pro-life as just a religious ideal,” so “relying on that biology that is backing up that that’s a human being is a huge thing."
