You are not going to believe all the wonderful things I have for you today. I can't remember when I've been this excited about writing the weekly newsletter.

Isn't this one of the most wonderful applique quilts ever? I am so honored that Corliss is allowing Sentimental Stitches to be the first shop to offer the Celebrating Mary Brown quilt pattern outside of Australia. This pattern is huge! Sitting on my desk it's at least 1" thick and look at the variety of blocks and border designs. Trust me, you need this in your design library!

Next up is Susan Smith's adorable Sweet William quilt pattern. I've been in love with this design ever since I saw the antique quilt that was Susan's inspiration. These blocks are the perfect take along project to work on. Thirty-six blocks of patchwork, applique and embroidered treasures!

Check these out - Linda Collins has created some wonderful plastic templates for rotary and scissor cutting - hand and machine piecing. How cool is that?!?

Celebrating Mary Brown Quilt -

A Sentimental Stitches exclusive - circa 1851 - This stunning quilt was inspired by the famous Mary B Brown applique quilt sold at Christie's Auction House in 1991 for $49,500. Corliss Searcey has outdone herself with this fantastic pattern for the complete quilt including color photographs of all blocks, full sized pattern sheets & instructions. This quilt is 90" x 90" finished and includes 44 individual blocks, 4 large corner blocks, 4 large center blocks and 4 individual inner borders. Wow!!!

Petite Wool Garden Quilt -

Combine cotton, wool and some jumbo rick rack in this adorable Petite Wool Garden quilt. The block feature wool applique on cotton and finishes at 29" square. A perfect take along project!

Sweet William Quilt -

Susan Smith was inspired by one of my favorite antique quilts to create her Sweet William quilt. I'm thrilled to bring this talented Australian designer's wonderful pattern to you . The quilt has easy to piece baskets filled with a variety of applique blossoms. There are patterns for 36 blocks in this 67" quilt. The original quilt was circa 1860 from Pennsylvania.

The Gardens of a King Quilt -
This quilt pattern is an interpretation of the King George III Coverlet dated 1803. Permission was granted from the V&A Museum in London to make this quilt.

The blocks are 6 3/4" each and there are 16 different blocks, repeated twice each in the center of the quilt.  The center block represents a formal garden that may be found at an English Castle and the applique surrounding the center blocks are florals, fruits and herbs that were used often for daily needs. The quilt pattern includes 25 patterns to make this stunning quilt.

Linda Collins - Templates for Hand & Machine Piecing

You'll be reaching for these more than you can imagine. Making blocks with these templates is addictive! Use them for hand or machine piecing - scissors or rotary cutting. You won't want to be without these little gems. Each piece is labeled for easy reference.

Quilter - Vinyl Decal / Sticker

No matter where you travel this summer, show you're proud to be a quilter with this classy vinyl decal/sticker.  I have one on the window of my car!  You can use this decal on your car, car windows, mugs, glasses, notebooks, even your iPad, Ott Light or sewing machine. The possibilities are endless!

Pennies in my Garden -

This quilt is 72" square and is perfect for a lap quilt, bed  topper or a wall hanging.

It was inspired by a few wool rugs that I own.  It will fit right on the top of a king sized bed along the edge of the mattress or would look wonderful on the diagonal, draping off of the sides on a smaller bed.

The background is cotton and the pennies and applique are both cotton and wool.  The center is constructed with 16 blocks, making it very easy to stitch the pennies by hand.

Victorian Table Runner  -

A very versatile table runner with an unusual outline size: 28" x 41".

Flower Pot Scissors -

Adorable 6 inch cute flower design scissors with their own little flower pot. These aren't just for the young quilters - I keep one right on the windowsill in my kitchen.
Purple, Red or Yellow flower handles.

The Caswell Quilt

Circa 1835 - This stunning quilt was inspired by the famous Caswell Carpet which resides in the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York.  Thirty appliquéd blocks of flowers & leaves, birds & butterflies adorn this quilt.  The pattern includes full size blocks and individual color photos of all blocks. Finished size 71" x 82"

Freezer Paper for Applique

I run this through my printer for templates. It's the nicest I've found and always have it in my sewing room.
This is the thickest and the sturdiest freezer paper available. Extra thick sheets won't curl and are reusable. Specially formulated coating for temporary adhering to fabric. Use with ink jet printer to print patterns, shapes and templates. Use as stencils, prevents bleeding.
