MCS Students Go All Out to Support Teachers' Trip to Haiti
The way the Mariners Christian School community came together to support its teachers' first Faith Adventure to Haiti is truly inspiring.

From water bottle collections to a "Share to Wear" Day and more, students led the charge to help their teachers raise the $2,500 each required for the trip.

Even a Brownie troop participated, creating "care kits" for each member of the team, complete with insect repellent and other travel essentials.

We Bought a Playground
At the 2018 Mariners Women's Christmas Brunch, guests generously donated $12,000+ toward the future kindergarten playground at Pastor Samuel's Collège Lumière in Torbeck, Haiti.

Last month, we inked a deal with Kids Around the World to purchase this playground from a school in Minneapolis. It will be shipped to Haiti in the spring and installed at the Torbeck site in June 2019.

Thank you Mariners Women for making this possible with your continued support of our church partner in Haiti!
MCS Faith Adventure Postponed
It's with a heavy heart that we had to postpone a faith adventure this week due to transportation issues amidst some political unrest currently unfolding across Haiti. But the team, consisting almost wholly of teachers from MCS, responded with grace and hope, confident the trip will be rescheduled when the timing is right. Read their response.
Bye Bye Social Media
For those of you who followed us on Facebook or Instagram, you may have noticed a change over the weekend. Our Haiti Ministry groups and pages disappeared. We hadn't been doing a great job of keeping them current, so we decided to delete them. Accurate, up-to-date information about everything Haiti will now be found exclusively on our website/blog.
