Generous Donation Creates Serve Opportunity – We Need Volunteers
We may share a name, but we're not related. That's what makes Mariners Christian School's (MCS) awesome donation of furniture and other soft goods to the Haiti Ministry of Mariners Church even more special. It's an incredible, tangible result of a relationship that's been building over the past couple of years.

At the end of 2018, MCS completed Phase One of a $20 million remodel that will transform the 31-year old private school into a thoroughly modern campus.

All of the furniture replaced during the remodel, MCS is giving to Pastor Samuel's College Lumière! This includes tables, chairs, desks, bookcases, and much, much more.

We're asking for help to get all this furniture moved off the MCS campus and into a shipping container that will make its way to Haiti this summer. If you're interested in helping, contact Dave Watkins via email . We're currently just collecting names. Specific details will be coming soon.

Replaced furniture will be sent to Haiti to fill the classrooms at Collège Lumière.
Bringing Play. Building Hope.
In our February newsletter, we announced that we had just purchased a playground for the new school in Haiti.

This month, we'd like to introduce you to our partner for this project: Kids Around the World. It's an incredible organization committed to creating "environments where kids can encounter Jesus". Read more.
School Site Plan Coming Soon
We're eagerly awaiting the site plan for Collège Lumière, which is coming soon. In the meantime, we received this elevation of the school's future administration building. Despite recent unrest, construction has begun on the site. A well was recently dug which will provide clean drinking water to the school. Each step in the process is a celebration of things to come!
