ISO A Few Good People - Committee Vacancies
We can all agree the Glenmore is a great place to live, but it takes a community of willing participants to make it work.
Three people are needed to serve on the newly formed Governance Committee and the Architectural Review Committee (ARC) seeks an additional member. All appointments are for a one-year (renewable) term. Candidates must be a resident owner, in good standing.
Governance Committee. (3 positions) Ideal candidates have prior experience on an HOA Board or Committee and are familiar with the issues of association management, legal matters, infrastructure issues, and Glenmore governance documents.
The Committee’s primary responsibilities are to ensure that:
- GCA’s governance model and supporting documents are internally consistent and comply with the Virginia Property Owners’ Association Act, local, state and federal requirements;
- annual meetings, nominations and elections, and other board actions are conducted in compliance with GCA governance documents;
- an annual audit of GCA operating and investments funds is conducted.

Architectural Review Committee (ARC) (One position) The ARC is responsible for insuring that changes to existing homes and properties are consistent with the Covenants and Restrictions (C&Rs) and current Architectural and Landscape Guidelines. Member of the Committee work in teams and review and make recommends regarding approval of modifications.
