Two New Walking Paths Added

Waterside/Osprey Circle. A new trail has been opened in the Waterside neighborhood that connects with the Carroll Creek Trail. This trail starts at Carroll Creek Road, at the dog station, just below the entrance to Waterside Way and continues down to the 1st retention pond, then on through the woods to the retention pond at Osprey Road (which is also the access point, with space to park in the Osprey cul-de-sac). The trail continues down wooden steps, through the woods on the other side of Osprey. and emerges at the foot of Waterside Way, beside the last house under construction. This is a delightful circle trail, or it can be used to access the Carroll Creek Trail from end to end.

Bremerton Spur. This short trail connects the Bremerton Cottages to the Carroll Creek Trail. It starts in common area behind the homes in Heathrow Lane. Access is adjacent to #1561, then turn left into the common area at the red fire hydrant, walk downhill, then turn right behind the homes, then turn left at the white vent onto the short spur trail (80 yards) that connects with the Carrol Creek Trail.

Signs are ordered and the Trail Maps will be updated on the GCA website. In the meantime, happy hiking!

Reminder: Please take clippers and gloves with you to help save our

lovely trees by cutting any invasive vines or the prickly 'Greenbriar thorns’ you encounter on your trek.

Speeding Stats

Awareness and gatehouse distribution of flyers to visitors continue to contribute to reduction of speed infractions, however, we still need to be diligent to further reduce speeding.

Monthly Summary (April – May 15)

The camera located on the flashing sign relocated on Piper Way near Carrol Creek recorded the following

• >30-40 mph - 2752 vehicles

• 40-45mph - 27 vehicles

• 46-50mph - 3 vehicles

• 51-55mph - 1 vehicle

• 56 mph or > - 0 vehicles

Speeds greater than 20mph above the posted speed limit, e.g > 46 mph or more, are considered reckless operation by the Commonwealth of Virginia.

Note: As you pass our electronic speed signs, your speed is recorded and a time/date stamped picture is taken. Going forward, reminders letters will be sent to violators.

Keeping Glenmore Beautiful!

We are all so fortunate to live in this beautiful community of Glenmore. As community members we have responsibilities to maintain our properties. We owe it to ourselves and our neighbors to do so. Items that take away from the attractiveness and value of individual properties include, overgrown vegetation, impaired driveways, broken and rusted mailboxes, clogged gutters, stained roofs, yard debris, to name a few.

Take a moment to review the GCA has a number of regulations to help you understand the community requirements. They can be found on the resident portal at https://www.glenmore-community.org/regs-and-legal

Help make Glenmore the best it can be. Thank you.
