We can't wait to welcome you back through our doors and into our libraries.
To say that we miss you is an understatement. Even though our doors are closed, we've been hard at work keeping our e-library up and running, answering your questions and finding new ways to keep you connected to the books and resources that you love and need. While nothing will match the joy that we'll feel when we see you walk into our libraries again, until then please know that Bucks County Free Library is here for you, open and online 24/7.
Apply for an E-Card: Maybe you let your card lapse. Maybe you've always wanted to get a library card but you never got around to it. Maybe your roommate / partner / teenager could use a suggestion for something a little more... productive... to do right now. Bucks County residents who want to use our robust e-library can now apply for an e-card online. Applying is quick and easy at   www.buckslib.org/ecard .
Library Cards: If you already have a library card, your card and pin number are all that you need to access our entire catalog of e-library resources. If you're having trouble remembering your PIN, you can click on  Request PIN  on the  My Account  page of our website and we can email it to you. In addition, if your library card is set to expire, we have made it even easier: if you have used your library card even once within the last three years, it will renew automatically. A s always, your same full-service card will be good to use at all Bucks County Free Library branches and member libraries when we reopen.
Remote Help Desk: Our s killed staff members can now offer computer support services and instruction virtually, and you never even have to leave your home! This new service allows staff to remotely access your device and offer advice by phone to help you diagnose and fix your technology and computer needs. We can remove spyware, fix speed issues, help you with your audiobook and e-book problems and more. Schedule an appointment at www.buckslib.org/helpdesk .
WiFi Access: Our buildings may be closed, but our WiFi is still on, and you can use it for free in our branch parking lots and outside our buildings. Look for painted WiFi symbols showing the best spots to park to access the signal. For branches where the signal does not reach the parking lot, visit our website to see areas outside the buildings where you can connect. Please practice social distancing while using our WiFi and, remember, it’s a public network.
Increased Access to Digital Materials: In addition to e-card applications rising nearly 400% over last year, the use of our e-resources has risen exponentially since we had to close our doors. To meet your increased demand during this period, we have added approximately 2,000 additional e-books and e-audiobooks to our collection. In addition, we're excited to announce that we've increased your borrowing limits in the popular Hoopla app until September 1, 2020, and Ancestry.com is currently accessible from the comfort of your home. There's always always something new to explore at www.buckslib.org/e-library and it's changing all the time.
Stay Connected: We want to stay connected with you (and vice versa). Our March E-newsletter contained some useful tips for using the library during this time. In addition, our Blog , Facebook and Instagram pages are updated daily with valuable resources and important information to keep you engaged with the library, your community and the literary world. We look forward to your "likes," comments and suggestions, and we want to see all of the ways that you're enjoying the library from home. COMING SOON... Summer Quest 2020: Our beloved Summer Quest program is going to look and feel a little different this year. As we adapt to the newest guidelines, and grapple with the uncertainties ahead, we're making plans to bring you as much of our traditionally engaging, educational content as we can in some very non-traditional ways. While we may not be able to gather together in person, we will still be able to work together to achieve our reading goals, enjoy unique performances and learn something new. Stay tuned to www.buckslib.org and our social media pages for the most up-to-date information.
Bucks County Free Library  will continue to follow the guidance of local, state and federal governments and the recommendations of the Centers for Disease Control (CDC). As we learn more details, we will provide regular updates through our  website  and social media.

We are available  online  to answer any questions that you might have during this closure. And remember, we're always open at www.buckslib.org .
