Spring Quarterly Newsletter

NRS Members,

It’s Springtime! Flowers are blooming, the weather is warmer, and students are getting anxious for the summer to begin. I hope you have been fortunate enough to enjoy one of the many ACTE Conferences this season. I look forward to networking and learning at the WBL Conference in Milwaukee in a few weeks. If you have never attended an ACTE conference, now is the time to plan for one on your budget! There are so many specialized conferences to meet your needs as a CTE Leader. Check out the news below to see all the upcoming opportunities.

The NRS Sections are busy doing meaningful work to advance CTE. Our section leads are always looking for people ready to step up in any capacity. Many of them will be transitioning out of their position this coming year and would love to work with you to lead a section or have a place on a section policy committee. Please visit our NRS Website to connect with one of our Section Leads.

With the school year coming to a close, it is easy to focus on the stress and items we need to “wrap up” for the end. Make sure to take some time and reflect on your impact. What metrics did you directly improve for your school district and students? What student’s life was changed because of something you directly did? You are not just a CTE professional; you are a life-changer!

Sincerely,

Susan Leon

VP, ACTE New and Related Services Division
