Update

Greetings, New & Related Services Members,

Welcome to the 2022–2023 school year! I am honored to begin my term as your New & Related Services (NRS) vice president. Over the past few months, I have had the opportunity to attend the ACTE Region V Conference, the National Work-Based Learning Conference, and the ACTE ACTE Board of Directors Meeting. I am so inspired by the fantastic work that is happening in career and technical education (CTE) across our country and in each of the New & Related Services sections.

Our division comprises a diverse group of CTE professionals, and it takes several highly specialized leaders to support our sections and committees. Please help me welcome these CTE professionals who will be working to support and grow our sections!

  • Career Academies: Jennifer Rathje & Leah Aiwohi
  • CTE Scholars: Jodi Adams
  • Integration of Academics: Dr. Jill Ranucci
  • Instructional Management and Materials: Jen Brooks & Christi Risley
  • Makers of Policy/Public Information: Rahsaan Bartet
  • ROTC: Lt. Col. Richard Crossley
  • Special Pops: Dr. Matthew Speno
  • Support Staff: Kendra Allen
  • ByLaws: Rusty Parker
  • Awards: Sarah Grossi
  • Nominating: Stephanie Pool

We are still looking for leadership in both the Tech Prep and Other Section. Please reach out if you are interested!

I encourage you to consider attending the Best Practices & Innovations in CTE Conference and ACTE’s CareerTech VISION 2022 in the coming months. More information regarding these opportunities and others can be found in the links below.

Best wishes to all on a successful and memorable year. Please feel free to contact me if you have any needs or concerns related to our division.

Sincerely,

Susan Leon
