Happy April dear readers! If the old adage is true, then May will be full of flowers! We've had a lot of rain, and friends in the Midwest have had snow this past month, so we will all be happy to see the last of April, knowing summer approaches.

I'm off this weekend to my local Romance Writers of America chapter's Annual Retreat in Westminster, Maryland -- great speakers, panels, camaraderie and industry information gossip, raffle baskets full of books and goodies, and a group Jeopardy battle Saturday night. We will all be wearing 1920s gowns when we shout out, "Who was Lady Macbeth!" if someone asks, "Who said ­ out, damn spot, out I say." These are the best of times, in the company of other writers, and I'll give you a full reporting of the fun next month.

Olivia and Ruby ONE ... My daughter Olivia, baby Ruby and hubby Jon are due to land this week for a long visit! I literally can not wait to hug all three of them. Here's Olivia and Ruby on their recent travels to Spain.
