Dear Valued Chamber Members & Affiliates,
There are two new sources of funding opening up next week from the U.S. Chamber and the EDD
:
- Do you have a business outside of El Dorado Hills, Cameron Park, or Shingle Springs? If so, you may be eligible for a $5,000 grant opening Monday, April 20 at 12:00 PM from the U.S. Chamber of Commerce. The Save Small Business Fund is providing $5,000 in short-term relief to employers across the United States. These one-time supplemental cash grants are for businesses that have 3-20 employees and operate in an economically vulnerable community (bottom 80% of zip codes in the country).
- Are you an independent contractor, self-employed, individual without sufficient work history, or have exhausted your UI benefits? The Employment Development Department (EDD) is opening the Pandemic Unemployment Assistance (PUA) Program, a newly available emergency unemployment assistance program under the federal CARES Act. PUA provides assistance for unemployed or partially unemployed individuals who are not eligible for regular unemployment insurance and who are unable or unavailable to work due to COVID-19 related circumstances. See PUA website now to apply on Tuesday, April 28.
With so many struggling right now, we wanted to provide you with the most current options to those who qualify, and please know that we are continually seeking opportunities throughout this time.
We are in this together, and we are fortunate to have strong partnerships throughout the region. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact our Chamber staff or me directly at
