Marina Coast Water District announced a new bill payment option for customers called CheckFreePay, a walk-in payment service available in any Walmart.
Beginning immediately, MCWD customers can pay their water bills in person with cash or debit card at any Walmart location nationwide using the CheckFreePay service. “With CheckFreePay, we’re offering our customers more flexibility and choice in how they pay their water bills,” said Mary Lagasca, Director of Administrative Services. “This service is especially helpful for residents who prefer to pay with cash or debit card or just want a quick, in-person option near their daily errands.”
How It Works
- Visit any Walmart in the U.S. and bring your phone number, valid ID, and a copy of the most recent statement
-
At the customer service desk or Money Center, present your phone number and ID. Important: The 9-digit remittance zip code (945720008) printed at the bottom of the customer’s bill must be entered (all 9 digits without the dash).
- Pay with cash or debit card (PIN debit available at Walmart only).
- A $1.50 Walmart service fee applies. There is no additional cost to the customer.
- Payments are processed by the next business day.
