I’m a charismatic person who love’s music, in many different genres. Personally, I think that has a lot to do with my background of being raised into multiple ethnicities. I am Afro-Cuban, Native American, Bahamian and African American, and I grew up participating in all of the various parts of the cultures related to my family.

 This caused me to love the sound and rhythm of the drums, the horns and the keys. It’s so many other wonderful aspects in music that I gravitate too and admire. Music is a part of my soul, so I guess that why my music is very soulful.

I knew I wanted to be a singer at a very young age, and thankfully that’s the path God has kept me on. My artistry is my baby; I love my music wholeheartedly. Anyone who knows me, can tell you I’m always singing and creating a song or vibing to a beat.   

BEHIND "THE FOOL":

This is the continuation to the “Love You” video and song, however this is where things go south. It’s when you realize everything is not butterflies and roses. Something up with the woman you fell in love with, and you don’t want to be a fool who continues to be caught up in her web of lies and deceit. It kind of represents the saying, “Once something is revealed to you, they can no longer pull the wool over your eyes”.

MAKING OF "THE FOOL":

I needed to convey the lyrics in motion. This was very difficult because it’s representing the dark side of love in a dynamic way. There is actually three parts to this video but each song is a completely separate song and then that process repeats itself. In order to achieve this, I had to tell a story and really create a film during the writing and recording of my music.

This new single that I’m releasing “The fool”, ties into the complete album in a way that sets it apart from other music. Since this love story is a part of other love music on my album, tying it all together made it the most challenging when creating the visual concepts.

It took a lot of brainstorming with my team, figuring out how to display a sad song that is still upbeat and also had to touch boundaries that every person who’s been in a relationship can relate to.

Everything you hear is a new dope sound thanks to my music producer Curtis Wright and everything you see in the video is something completely fresh and different. That includes the style, the location, the way the video was shot, and the type of film used to create it. It all had to be combined perfectly for what I wanted the video to convey.

I have to give a special thanks to Kevin Maultsby and Safiya Jerome the stylists of myself and Ariel Paige the actress in the video. Also, I’d like to thank my video director Reidge Johannes. CCC Entertainment LLC and Retro Motion agency who are the producers of the video, and everyone who was a part of this project helped bring the video to life and did a wonderful job.
