We are pleased to announce a new capability for filing flight plans within our modern user interface on Izon. In the past, we introduced the functionality to file flight plans, prioritizing mandatory fields for filing. Today, we've introduced a new feature enabling you to save your progress on the filing page, allowing you to return and file the flight plan at your convenience.

This new feature is Save As Draft and can be enabled on the Filing page beneath the three-dot menu on the Filing button. For example, you may now save a remark (ICAO item 18), such as a permit number in a draft, and return to file the flight plan when you are ready. While this example is a common use-case, any of the modifiable information on the filing page can be saved and returned to at a later date or time.

How to Access to NextGen Flight Planning

Like other NextGen solutions we are developing, NextGen Flight Planning is only accessible on Izon. To access the new application, you must create or log into your Izon account. The tile for NextGen Flight Planning will be available to all flight planning subscribers automatically. See the Izon Setup Guide in the links at the end of this message if you do not yet have an Izon account. It’s easy to set up and FREE.
