As a friendly reminder, any exterior alterations to your property—whether in the front yard or backyard—require prior approval from the Design Review Committee (DRC). While the guidelines may be a bit more flexible for backyard projects, DRC review is still required before work begins.
Examples of Projects That Require Approval:
- Shade structures and pergolas
- Pools or hot tubs
- Sheds or other buildings
- Landscape redesigns
- Rock color or type replacement
Even if the changes are in your backyard and out of view, they must still be reviewed to ensure consistency with the community’s standards.
What Does Not Require Approval:
- Repairs like roofs, stucco patching, garage door, etc.
- Rock replenishment using the same existing rock
- Repainting the home the same existing color
If you choose a pre-approved front door or exterior paint color, you may begin painting right away, but submission is still required to maintain proper documentation for future reference.
If you're ever unsure about what constitutes a repair, feel free to contact the HOA office at coralcanyonhoa@ccmcnet.com or (435) 634-1699.
