Kiravan taps Theia MY125 Lens for situational awareness
Kiravan is the brain child of a former Disney Imagineer for his own child, 5 year old Kira.  The RV uses Theia's MY125M lens in its RV trailer for situational awareness.  They needed a wide angle FOV to cover the vehicle perimeter, but with the fewest cameras possible.  Theia's Linear Optical Technology distortion correction was key because it didn't require software image processing, avoiding latency; late feedback to the driver would be problematic for maneuverability.  The Travel Channel's Nov. 8 episode of "Extreme RVs: Space Age Mega Machine" featured the Kiravan as reported in Digital Trends and Wired magazines.
