Traffic Update: 135th Street

In the coming days, traffic on the southbound exit to 135th Street will switch to a new configuration. Please be aware of this change when utilizing this ramp or driving through the area.

To complete the traffic switch, the contractor will implement an overnight closure of this ramp. Details on this closure can be found on the 69Express project website.

KTAG: Q&A

KTAGs are a key component of the Kansas Turnpike Authority’s new cashless tolling system.

What is a KTAG?

KTAG is a small electronic tag (usually a sticker) issued by KTA that is placed inside your vehicle to facilitate toll payment. When a vehicle with a KTAG enters the U.S. 69 express lanes, the KTAG identifies the vehicle and links the trip to the driver’s DriveKS account for future payment.

Is there a cost to get a KTAG?

No! KTAG registration is completely free.

How do I get a KTAG?

Sign up here to receive your KTAG! Once registered, you will receive a sticker in the mail to place in your vehicle.

How do I pay my toll?

KTAG users will receive a bill once a month through their DriveKS account. DriveKS is Kansas’ toll payment system.

What are the benefits of a KTAG?

KTAG provides the lowest toll rate. KTAG users receive an automatic 50% discount on Kansas toll facilities.

Is my KTAG compatible in other states?

KTAGs can also be used in Oklahoma, Texas and most of Florida and Colorado.

Am I required to have a KTAG to use the U.S. 69 express lanes?

No. If you prefer not to get a KTAG, your license plate will be scanned when you use the express lanes, and a bill will be mailed using your vehicle’s registration information.
