The project team is pleased to announce the reopening of the 119th Street interchange!

Eastbound and westbound 119th Street, along with all ramps, will reopen next week on Wednesday, Oct. 23.

Access to the Highland Plaza shopping area also will be fully restored, allowing drivers to enter the shopping center from both the east and west.

During the 119th Street closure, major improvements were made, including bridge removal and reconstruction and reconstruction of 119th Street and its ramps.

Partial lane closures can still be expected throughout the remainder of the year as construction crews finish up work along 119th Street and the southbound U.S. 69 bridge over 119th Street.

The 69Express project team thanks you for your patience throughout the reconstruction of this vital interchange.

Upcoming Weekend Closure: College Blvd.

On the weekend of Friday, Oct. 25 to Monday, Oct. 28, eastbound and westbound College Blvd. will be fully closed at U.S. 69. This interchange will close at 7 p.m. Friday and will reopen by 6 a.m. Monday. This closure is necessary for bridge demolition.

During this closure, the following detours will be marked:

• Westbound College Blvd. traffic will be directed to turn left on Antioch Rd. Take Antioch Rd. south to 119th St., then turn right. Take 119th St. west to Quivira Rd. Turn right on Quivira Rd., drive north to College Blvd. and then turn left. 

• Eastbound College Blvd. traffic will be directed to turn right on Quivira Rd. Take Quivira Rd. south to 119th St., then turn left. Take 119th St. east to Antioch Rd. Turn left on Antioch Rd., drive north to College Blvd. and then turn right.  

• Eastbound College Blvd. to northbound U.S. 69/I-435 traffic will be directed to Quivira Rd. Drive north on Quivira Rd. and utilize the eastbound I-435/U.S. 69 entrance ramp.
