A fine, majestic Taos Valley scene by
Oscar E. Berninghaus, circa 1925. 

Berninghaus, one of the six founding members of
the Taos Society of Artists in 1915, was an important
member of this expanding group of influential painters,
who found inspiration in the Southwest and
portrayed a purely American region and culture.
They would become widely renowned as, the Taos School.
