AA#1886 - Analyzing & Strategizing to Prevent District Losses in Special Education Litigation
This course is focused on informing and educating school staff on the topics and practices that frequently involve special education litigation. Participants will be able to identify sources of legal guidance, including the risk factors, when faced with a legal situation in their own educational settings. This presentation will review topics and practices that may be initiated in general education but have special education implications such as transgender issues, discipline, and responding to school crisis. Finally, participants will discuss and be able to identify possible resolution options in the different legal situations that they may face. 

Kane County Student Photography Exhibition
Please join us for the Kane County Student Photography Exhibition from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 13, at a new location this year! The event will be held at the  Batavia Fine Arts Center , 1201 Main St. in Batavia, IL. We will present trophies to all the weekly winners along with a bunch of other photos that were submitted to this year's contest! Refreshments will be provided.
Institute Day 2019 Registration Dates #ID2019
Institute Day 2019 will be held on March 1, 2019 at various Kane County locations. We want to thank all of the host sites for volunteering their classrooms, auditoriums, and available spaces along with those who put in a presenter proposal. All of these continued efforts help us make Institute Day possible!

EOTY Nomination Forms
Nominations are now being accepted by the ROE through March 4th, 2019. The  nomination packet can be found here and the physical forms have been sent out. All nominees should be skillful, dedicated, and continue to play an active role in education. The ROE has  put together a video  that explains how to nominate someone for EOTY. If you have any additional questions about Educator of the Year,  please contact the ROE.
