Following the major milestone in September with the execution of the first two agreements with Aloha Hālawa District Partners (AHDP), dismantling of the existing Aloha Stadium and construction of the new one are officially approved to move forward. In addition to the successful relocation of the Aloha Stadium Swap Meet & Marketplace, site mobilization activities are now underway.
Areas are being cleared and prepared for this next exciting phase. Two office trailers have already been delivered and AHDP is working on the layout for the stadium office trailers in the Lower Hālawa Lot. Over the coming months, additional site mobilization activities will include setting up fencing and site offices, internal abatement work, and securing/disconnecting on-site utilities. Be on the lookout for visual dismantling of the existing stadium scheduled to begin in early 2026.
There are only a few items remaining on the real estate-related agreements with execution expected to happen in the coming months. However, the timing of executing these agreements will not affect the delivery or opening schedule of the new stadium. Once these agreements are finalized, the NASED team will release a public update outlining key deal points, including AHDP’s expected deliverables and deadlines.

FAQs
Q: What are the expected work hours for dismantling and construction and how will noise and dust be managed?
A: Most work will occur during work week daylight hours, with limited evening or weekend activity, in coordination with nearby schools, residences, and businesses. Together, AHDP and the state will carefully manage noise and dust, following all safety regulations. The entire project team is committed to minimizing community impacts during the dismantling and construction phases. More details about the plans to mitigate dust, debris, noise, and disruption will be shared with the community soon.

The Aloha Stadium Swap Meet & Marketplace
Launches New Vendor Directory!
The Aloha Stadium Swap Meet & Marketplace — Hawai‘i’s largest open-air market — has officially relocated to its new home in the Upper Hālawa Lot, and this month we’re excited to launch our new Vendor Directory to help shoppers easily find their favorite vendors. The Swap Meet is now conveniently arranged in two distinct areas: the Marketplace section, shown in blue on the map, featuring souvenirs, aloha wear, and accessories; and the Swap Meet section, shown in orange, offering secondhand finds and farmers market items.
Open every Wednesday, Saturday, and Sunday, the Swap Meet & Marketplace continues to feature hundreds of local crafters, artists, and merchants offering everything from island apparel to ‘ono grinds.
