We're pleased to share that the Annual EPSDT Report is now available in the Pediatric Health Reports in the CRISP DC HIE Portal through the PopHealth Analytics tool at https://idp.crisphealth.org!
What’s in the Annual EPSDT Report?
The Annual Early and Periodic Screening, Diagnostic, and Treatment (EPSDT) report is based on the CMS-416 reporting guidelines for measuring the Screening and Participant ratio for the pediatric population.
-
Screening Ratio: Ratio of the actual number of initial and periodic screening services received to the expected number of initial and periodic screening services.
-
Participant Ratio: Ratio of the total eligibles who received at least one initial or periodic screen to the total eligibles expected to receive at least one initial or periodic screen.
The report allows the users to view the performance of their panel compared to a reference group, such as All DC Medicaid or Peer Group, among the following metrics:
- Screening and Participant Ratio performance over time
- Distribution of periodic screenings received by age category and gender
- Beneficiaries who received recommended periodic screenings
- Beneficiaries who received at least one periodic screening
- Distribution of screenings by provider (beneficiary count and provider cost)
The new report accompanies the existing Dental and Well-Child Visits reports available in the Pediatric Health Reports card in PopHealth. The report also supports the Population Navigator’s roster functionality, allowing you to view the reports for the desired subset of your population. The subsets, called rosters, can be created using various methods, including the ability to upload a list of patients.
