With the rise of Amtrak, the original California Zephyr was lost, but not forgotten. Many of the cars were sold to other railroads including Amtrak. Repainted, these cars continue to serve and eventually, the California Zephyr began operations again with Amtrak. These release features a number of schemes and road numbers to choose from.
