New Bags!

We love accessories, especially bags, and the good news is we got a new shipment of wonderful bags!

In addition to a collection of these beautiful Atenti bags we all know and love so well, we also received a unique bag from addi, makers of our favorite needles.

The Multi Bag is a series of pouches that have places to put all your tools, including circulars, DPNs, crochet hooks, whatever you're bringing. In addition, the pouches can be used individually or connected and rolled up to take with you. You never knew you could be so organized!

Atenti bags are the work of a fabulous Mother-Daughter design team and are all hand sewn in LA. They feature beautiful, quality fabrics and waterproof liners. These are bags you'll cherish for many years.

Roller Derby Scarf

The Roller Derby Scarf is a fun pattern we've had in the shop for years and it's now on our web site! It's a very flexible design in that it can be made from a wide range of yarns. In our opinion it works best with fingering weight (#2) to DK weight (#3) yarns but you may feel differently.

It's shown here in one skein of Pavlova from Trendsetter, a delightful Cotton/Viscose yarn in beautiful, self-striping colors.

It would also work great in Nuance and Impress, two more cotton based yarns also from our friends at Trendsetter.

Join us for a Party on October 1

It's coming to the end of Kris and Oz's time at the Ball & Skein and we decided to have a celebration to say thank you, and to welcome Annie to Cambria and the shop!

All three of us will be there so you can meet Annie (if you haven't already) as she gets ready to take over the Ball & Skein!

The party will be at the historic Squibb House here in Cambria on Sunday, October 1st from 3 - 6PM.

Join Us On-Line Thursday Evenings

Every Thursday from 4:30 PM Pacific to 6 PM Pacific, we host "Stitching in your Slippers" on line!

It's a fun group of crocheters and knitters from all across the country. It's the group you don't know you wanted!

We also meet in-person in the shop every Sunday from 1 -3 PM Pacific!

Who's a good boy?

Fetch, a cute dog sweater, can be made using color work, striped, or just do it all in one color using Ultra Wool from our friends at Berroco.

Ultra Wool is Worsted Weight (#4) and comes in a large range of colors, is soft, durable, as well as machine washable, making it the perfect yarn for a dog sweater!
