Williston’s first dermatological office officially opened it’s doors in June to patients, ushering in a new era of medical services to the region. SkinWin Dermatology, founded by Dr. Daniel Hoffman, is located in the Craven-Hagen Clinic and offers patient-care for skin, nails and hair. Dr. Hoffman, a graduate of Columbia University and a board certified dermatologist since 2011, specializes in treating acne, various forms of skin cancer, psoriasis and laser excisions.

New Bakery to open in Downtown Williston

Williston Economic Development - The 3 E's Pastry Cafe is opening this year in Downtown Williston. The bakery will be located in the former Red Rooster space near the Cedar Chest. The 3 E's Pastry Cafe received a Williston STAR Fund Mini Match grant for the project.

and non-essential businesses closed, Misty Williams,
Froid
Grocery store owner, took the radical step of closing the front door of her "essential business," restricting it to phone and Facebook orders and curbside pickup. Instead of shopping the aisles in person, customers "virtually shopped" by looking at photos of the shelves on the grocery's Facebook page. Williams says the results were astounding as orders increased fivefold.

South Dakota News Watch - When Dave Johnson moved from Chicago to Lemmon, S.D., to work as an economic-development official nearly a decade ago, his first conversations with locals had a decidedly depressing tone. Lemmon, like many small towns in South Dakota, had seen its population steadily decline and watched its economy slowly falter. Lemmon’s population fell by 25% from 1990 to 2010, from 1,627 to 1,225; some housing was aging and in disrepair; and retail stores and restaurants had fled its worn downtown district.

The day will be filled with food, fun, and games for the whole family. This event has free admittance and is open to the public.

Kasmer & Aafedt Charity Golf Tournament August 1

John Kasmer hopes that by this time next month, the golf tournament put on by the company he co-owns, Kasmer & Aafedt Oil, has officially raised $1 million for charity. The tournament, which is set for Aug. 1 at The Links of North Dakota, is in its seventh year. Unlike some golf tournaments, which raise money for one cause or are put on by a non-profit, the Kasmer & Aafedt Oil Golf Tournament raises money for multiple organizations. The company pays for golf, food and prizes.

The events may look a little different as we will be adhering to the guidelines and requirements set forth by the State of North Dakota.
