New Beginnings

~ Cristi Zedd, CEO & President

As I conclude my first 60 days as CEO/President, I reflect on this significant new beginning for all of us as we embark on this exciting journey together. My priority during this time has been to listen, learn, and engage. I want to understand what makes us a strong organization and what will carry us forward into a bright future.

We’ve had many new beginnings so far in FY25:

  • We have expanded our Therapeutic Day Treatment Services (school-based mental health treatment and support services). We are now serving youth in 27 Richmond Public Schools. Thanks to Richmond Behavioral Health Foundation and community volunteers, we were able to send over 500 youth back to school with new and fully stocked backpacks, ready for a new year.
  • We launched a soft opening of our Adult Crisis Receiving Center (CRC) at North Campus. CRC offers 24/7 walk-in services for adults experiencing a mental health or substance use crisis. Within 23 hours, CRC staff provide assessment, stabilization, and connection to on-going care.
  • Autumn Richardson, LCSW, has accepted the role of Chief Operating Officer of RBHA’s Developmental Services. Autumn previously served as Director of REACH, a regional program designed to support both children and adults with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities AND a mental health condition or challenging behavior.

Exciting things and more to come…
