Izabel St Partner and Donor Tours

We welcome partners and donors to join us for a behind-the-scenes look at our Izabel Street Apartments—11 three-bedroom homes currently under construction and expected to be completed this fall. As we move closer to completion, we’d love to have you on site to see this exciting project that will expand access to safe, stable housing for local households experiencing homelessness, those at risk of homelessness, and survivors of domestic violence in our community.

Volunteer of the Month

We are honored to be able to recognize Olivia as our June Volunteer of the Month at Sharon's Attic! Olivia brings a positive attitude, a friendly spirit, and a keen eye for detail to everything she does. She is always willing to take on new challenges and helps make Sharon’s Attic a welcoming and successful place for our customers, volunteers, and staff. Thank you, Olivia, for sharing your time, talents, and heart with Sharon's Attic. We are grateful to have you as part of our volunteer community!

JoJo's Place

Last month, one household experiencing homelessness moved into a furnished studio apartment at JoJo’s Place.

JoJo’s Place also recently celebrated an elderly resident who had been renting a studio apartment there since the fall of 2024. While living on SSI/SSDI, market-rate rent was not a realistic option. As she began experiencing cognitive decline associated with dementia and underwent cancer treatment, Housing Solutions' case management and property management teams worked closely with her family to identify a solution that would best support her long-term wellbeing. Together, they successfully coordinated a move-in with her children, providing her with stability, care, and family support. This transition not only helped ensure her continued housing stability, but also opened a studio apartment for another community member experiencing homelessness who is in need of transitional housing.

Sharon Manor

Last month, one household experiencing homelessness and surviving domestic violence moved into safe, supportive transitional housing at Sharon Manor with access to case management, as well as child and adult groups.

Flagstaff Rentals

Last month, 26 low-income Flagstaff families—including 37 adults and 14 children—remained stably and affordably housed through Housing Solutions’ house and condo rental program. These permanently affordable homes provide safety, security, and long-term housing stability for local households. In fact, our longest-residing tenant has called one of our rentals home for more than 10 years!

Oak Wash Homes

At Oak Wash Homes in Cottonwood, 28 formerly homeless households are paying affordable rent and building more stable lives. Safe, affordable housing helps create a foundation for improved health, greater independence, and new opportunities.

6 current residents are employed in Sedona or Cottonwood, while 20 households rely primarily on Social Security Income (SSI) and/or Social Security Disability Income (SSDI). More than half of residents (53%) are elderly, highlighting the important role affordable housing plays in helping seniors remain safely and stably housed in northern Arizona.

Western Hills Apartments

We are actively leasing the final 13 of 29 new workforce-attainable rentals at Western Hills Apartments! These rentals are designed to help Flagstaff’s middle-income workforce—teachers, healthcare workers, service industry employees, and tradespeople—find housing they can afford in the community they serve. First Time Homebuyers

In May, five first-time homebuyers in northern Arizona achieved homeownership with the help of down payment assistance administered through Housing Solutions' pre-purchase program! Safe, stable, affordable housing provides a foundation for health, financial security, and thriving communities, and we're honored to help make that possible.

This year also marked a major milestone for our homeownership program. On March 26, we celebrated the 500th household we've helped achieve homeownership through our housing assistance programs since launching the program in 1995. For more than 30 years, we've worked alongside local households to turn the dream of homeownership into reality, helping create lasting housing stability for families across northern Arizona.

Thank you Literacy Center

A huge thank you to the The Literacy Center for generously donating books to support residents at our JoJo’s Place Transitional Housing Program!

Thanks to the creativity and hard work of our on-site case manager, the JoJo’s Place pantry continues to grow. Alongside shelf-stable foods and essential toiletries, residents can now also check out books and games to enjoy and later return.

Volunteers Needed

We're especially in need of summertime volunteers at Sharon's Attic Thrift Store. Every volunteer hour helps empower local families and survivors of domestic violence at our Sharon Manor program while keeping quality donated items out of the landfill.
