Family Festival - Celebrating Community!

Can you believe we are less than 1 day away from the start of the 55th Annual 4th of July Family Festival? The four day festival begins on July 1st and goes through July 4th and this year's theme is "Celebrating Community." Take a look at the schedule to see all the fun that the Fourth of July Commission has planned for this year! Special thanks to our July 4th commissioners, city council & staff, our wonderful sponsors and of course our awesome community and participants. Without your support, this event would not be possible. We hope to see you at the Independence Day festivities celebrating community.

Spectrum Carnival Wristbands -
Enjoy unlimited rides for several hours!
A family favorite at the annual celebration is the Spectrum Carnival! Don't forget that the purchase of a wristband can get you unlimited rides for several hours each day of the festival! Wristbands can be purchased for $25 each at City Hall (Cash only) by 4:30PM on June 30th or $30 at the gate. You can also purchase online at the link below.
Parade Information - 1pm, July 4th
Due to road construction on Moorland Road and National Avenue parade route and staging will be different in 2023. Parade route will begin at 159th Street and travel west to Rose Court. Staging will take place on National Avenue, west of Moorland to 159th and carry into the subdivision north. Official parade route will begin at 159th street heading west and end at Observatory Road. Between the hours of noon and 3:30 - 159th Street will NOT be accessible to general traffic. The parade will begin at 1PM.

Road closures will begin at 11 a.m. and run through 4 p.m.

In deference to the condensed space, spectators should refrain from placing personal items or roping off areas along the parade route until noon on July 3rd. All items placed along National Avenue prior to July 3rd will be considered abandoned property and will be removed.
Parking Map & Shuttle Information
If you want an easy in and out of the grounds, take advantage of our shuttle rides generously donated by Durham School Services.

Route includes stops at New Berlin Activity & Recreation Center, Ronald Reagan Grade School (outer parking lot) and Festival Grounds. The Festival Grounds pick-up/drop-off point will be located at the crosswalk on the north side of National Avenue, just west of Casper Drive.

20th Annual 4th of July Pie Bake-Off on July 2nd
Who will win this year's pie bake off? The 20th annual 4th of July Pie Bake Off will take place on July 2nd at the family tent in Malone Park. Check-in is at 5:30 p.m. and judging starts at 6:00 p.m.
Cornhole Tournament near Ball field #3 on July 3rd.
Register your team of two players by July 1st. All teams must pre-register for this tournament. Games will be played using the official ACO rules. All participants must use the provided bag and boards.

Activity Tent
Welcome all Trivia Minds to this team competition during our 4th of July Celebration. To participate, one member needs to register their team, but must provide a team name and all member's first and last names.

Fireworks will begin at 10 PM in Malone Park on the 4th of July.

Please note: It is against city ordinance to have sparklers, fireworks and open fires on the festival grounds.

Important message from NBPD
This year's fireworks show is scheduled on July 4th at 10PM, at Malone Park. Please consider attending this display in lieu of setting off your own respective neighborhood displays as the use of ANY fireworks in New Berlin is a violation of City Ordinances and Wisconsin Statute. For additional information pertaining to City Ordinance regulating fireworks, please visit www.newberlin.org

City Hall Closed Tuesday, July 4th!
City Hall will be closed on Tuesday, July 4th in observance of Independence Day. Mayor Ament, Council and City staff wish you and your family a happy and safe 4th of July! We hope to see you at the festival!
Recycling Center Hours
The Recycling Center will be open regular hours on Saturday, July 1st (8am-4pm), but will be closed on Tuesday, July 4th in observance of the holiday. It will be open again on Thursday, July 6th from 10am to 7pm.
Garbage/Recycling Collection
Garbage/Recycling will not be collected on Tuesday, July 4th.
Collections will take place one day later. Residents are reminded to put all trash and recycling containers out to the curb the night prior to your pick-up.
