Miss New Berlin, Glo Konieczny

We want to thank Glorian "Glo" Konieczny for representing the City of New Berlin in such a positive way for the last year. Glo has been a terrific role model and outstanding beacon of positivity! We wish her luck with her future endeavors.


Glo was crowned Miss New Berlin on February 25, 2023, and has honorably served and represented the City of New Berlin for the last year. She has gone above and beyond in her capacity of Miss New Berlin participating in many New Berlin Community Events such as: the Memorial Day ceremony, 4th of July festivities, Historical Society events, Veterans Day, WinterFest, City blood drives and Business of the Month visits. Glo has brought pride to our community through her accomplishments and significant contributions.

On Saturday, January 27th, 2024, Kailee Doherty was crowned Miss New Berlin 2024. And congratulations to Kellyse Lutzow for being crowned Miss New Berlin Outstanding Teen!

New Berlin Police Department Citizens' Academy is now accepting applications

The New Berlin Police Department Citizens Academy is a course designed to provide citizens with a better understanding of the operations of our police department. They are accepting applications for the spring and fall Citizen Academy sessions. The spring session classes meet every Tuesday night from 6:30-9:00PM, from early March through Mid-May, concluding with a graduation dinner.


Academy Topics: Chief's tour, patrol procedures, crime scene investigations, use of force training, crime prevention, drug investigations, firearms training, SWAT, municipal court, K-9 unit, OWI investigations and workshop, patrol ride-along and Waukesha County Dispatch.


You are encouraged to apply if you are 18 years of age or older, live or work in New Berlin, have no felony convictions, can pass a background check and can commit to attending 80% of scheduled activities.
