We hope you're finding ways to stay cool during this summer heat! We had a wonderful turnout at our Reverse Parade celebration on the Fourth of July, thank you to all those who participated. The Partisan Primary will be held on Tuesday, August 11th, find out everything you need to know about voting absentee in this week's New Berlin Notes. Thank You For A Memorable 4th of July
The donations received for the New Berlin Food Pantry from the City's Fourth of July Reverse Parade far exceeded expectations. Over 5,400 pounds of food and other staples were collected in addition to over $1,500 in cash donations. Thank you to all who participated and donated. It was a great way for the community to come together and celebrate.

Partisan Primary
The Partisan Primary will be held on Tuesday, August 11th. Residents can vote absentee by mail, in person at the Clerk's office (2 weeks prior to election) or on election day. More information on voting absentee can be found below.
Early In-Person Voting in the Clerk's Office
July 28-August 7

Mondays: 8:00 am - 4:30 pm
Tuesdays: 8:00 am - 6:00 pm
Wednesdays: 8:00 am - 4:30 pm
Thursdays: 7:00 am - 5:00 pm
Fridays: 8:00 am - 4:30 pm

Friday August 7th will be open until 5:00 pm
Registered Voters can request an absentee ballot be mailed to them for the Partisan Primary through August 6th. The button below will take voters to MyVote.Gov to request a ballot. Just click "vote absentee" and follow the prompts. All absentee ballots must be returned to the Clerk's Office by 8:00 pm on election night.
Your mailed absentee ballot should be returned in the envelope provided by the Clerk's Office. It should resemble the photo shown above. You must sign and date your certificate and you must have a witness sign and provide their address. Your witness can be any adult, U.S. Citizen.

Moody's Investors Service assigned a Aaa rating to the City of New Berlin. The rating reflects the City's stable operating reserves and unused levy capacity which offsets state
imposed levy limits.
Budget-Friendly City for Renters
LendEDU has recognized New Berlin as one of the most budget-friendly cities in the country for renters. Specifically, New Berlin had an average annual rent cost of $14,402 and a median household income of $80,656 for a rent-to-income ratio of 17.86%. It is generally recommended that rent should cost no more than 30% of a renters annual income.
