Goodbye April, Hello May!
What are you excited for as the weather starts to warm up in May?
We're excited that the New Berlin Farmers Market is back in action
and New Berlin Recreation programs are starting soon!
May is a perfect time for spring cleaning. If you are overrun with cardboard needing to be recycled, read below how you can privately contract with Waste Management for an extra 96 gallon recycling cart.
A reminder that if you plan on visiting City Hall over the next month,
it's going to look a little different due to the HVAC project -
follow our social media and visit our website for more info.
Happy Mother's Day, Sunday, May 9th!

Having issues with the
Waste Management
Customer Service Call Center?
Tired of being placed on hold?
We heard you!

For our residents irritated with the excessively long wait times when calling Waste Management for service requests, your frustrations were felt and this unacceptable situation was brought to the attention of Waste Management. As a result, Waste Management has developed a "Contact Us Form" to be found on their website. You can click the button below to access the form.
In the meantime, Waste Management has informed us that they are working diligently toward a better end result for our residents.
PARKS WITHOUT BORDERS
Waukesha County Executive Paul Farrow & Washington County Executive Joshua Schoemann invite county park annual sticker holders to explore parks in another county over the upcoming ‘Parks Without Borders’ weekends. Annual parks sticker holders from both counties will have reciprocal park admissions on Mother’s Day Weekend, May 8 and 9, and Father’s Day Weekend, June 19 and 20. The 2021 annual window sticker will need to be placed clearly on the vehicle as instructed to obtain free admission.
CITY HALL HVAC CONSTRUCTION UPDATE
Construction continues on the replacement of New Berlin City Hall 36 year old HVAC system. The City is striving to provide as many services as possible during this time, but some services may be limited due to this project. We are wrapping up construction on the 2nd floor this week and look forward to returning the Assessor’s, Community Development, Inspection, Planning, Engineering and Recreation back to their normal locations and services starting on May 10th.

Construction will then take place on the first level of City Hall and all first floor services will be moved to the second floor between May 17 and May 31. In addition, the lower level parking lot will not be open to the public. Starting on May 17, the public should enter City Hall via the upper parking lot. Signage will direct you to the appropriate location from there. We appreciate your patience and understanding as we complete this much needed project.
The below departments will be switching to summer hours beginning May 10th.
  • Streets Department: 6am - 2pm
  • Utility Department: 6am - 2pm
