The holidays are a festive time of year when we share special moments with our family, friends and loved ones, and look ahead to a new year filled with promise and opportunity. In our final edition of New Berlin Notes, we take a tour of our December Business of the Month and provide information on your 2022 property taxes. We are also excited to announce details for our 4th annual Winterfest. 2023 Burn Permit

A burn permit is required in the City of New Berlin. Permits are valid from January 1st - December 31st.

Burn permits are $10 and can be purchased at City Hall or the New Berlin Public Library. You may also mail a separate $10 check made payable to the City of New Berlin with your tax payment and a burn permit will be mailed to you.

2023 Animal License

The City of New Berlin requires a license for dogs and cats that are five months of age or older and have had their rabies shots. Licenses are valid for the calendar year.

The fee is $10 for spayed or neutered animals and $15 for un-spayed and non-neutered animals. There is a $5 late fee if not renewed by March 31st.

Pay Your Property Tax From Your Vehicle!

The secure drop box at City Hall is available 24/7. Payments in the drop box are collected and marked received by 8AM the next business day and processed as soon as possible.

Please enclose your payment stub with your payment and DO NOT put cash into the drop box.

A receipt will be mailed to you if you enclose a self-addressed stamped envelope.

Members of the New Berlin Professional Police Association and New Berlin Professional Fire Fighters Association (IAFF Local 4724) once again collaborated to hand deliver 80 Christmas hams to the New Berlin Food Pantry. Barb Jacob, the director of the New Berlin Food Pantry, presented both associations with plaques as a heartwarming gesture of gratitude for the longtime annual donation.
