Matcom Gives Back

Matcom Gives Back
During the holidays, Matcom looks for ways to give back to the Vaughan community.
This year, Matcom partnered with The City of Vaughan's Toy Drive and Father Bressani Catholic High School's Grade 12 students. As a part of their Business Leadership course, the graduating class organized their second annual toy drive in support of CP24's CHUM Christmas Wish. When Matcom heard of the care, initiative, and organization demonstrated by these students, we could not wait to support their cause!
Grade 12 student, Chiara Longo, reached out to us on behalf of her class. Chiara and the class aimed to "continue the tradition of giving and show our school community that we can still come together, especially in times of need". In previous years, the school donated over 1000 toys to the City of Vaughan's toy drive collection in support of CHUM Christmas Wish. As well, they won the Hometown Hockey "Fill the Net" contest by donating the most toys out of all the schools participating in the City of Vaughan!

We are thankful for everyone at Matcom who helped us support this thoughtful cause. As a Matcom family, we donated a cheque on behalf of Father Bressani, and a box of toys. It is heartwarming to see the community come together and bring some warmth during the holidays.

We are looking forward to seeing the bright leaders emerge from the Grade 12 Business Leadership course at Father Bressani.

With the holidays around the corner, we encourage everyone to find ways to support their community. It's not too late! There are still ways to donate toys to the city, such as the Salvation Army's Toy Mountain or Oasis Clothing Bank - both with deadlines later this week.

Stay healthy and stay safe,

Matcom.
