Your Top FIVE to THRIVE
February 2025
| |
#1 February 11th is 211 Day! Celebrating Three Digits & the People Who Answer
| |
|
211 is a vital resource used by Marathon County residents who need assistance with disaster, food, health care, mental health, insurance, stable housing, utility payment, veteran services, childcare and other related needs.
In Marathon County, our 211 staff answered 4,134 calls in 2024. Top needs were rent assistance, tax assistance, food pantries, utility assistance, and homeless shelters.
Top unmet needs were rent, homeless motel vouchers, homeless shelters, utility assistance and gas money.
Did you know? We have an amazing 211 staff that also takes calls from seven other counties - this brings the total number of calls for our 211 staff in 2024 to 13,314 for all counties served.
Way to go 211!
