Hispanic Heritage Month: September 15 - October 15. This is a time to recognize and celebrate the influence of Hispanic/Latinx Americans in our history, culture, and achievements.

Banned Books Week is September 26 - October 2. This week spotlights current and historical attempts to censor books in libraries and schools. Learn more about your freedom to read on our website.

12 MIGHTY ORPHANS tells the true story of the Mighty Mites, the football team of a Fort Worth orphanage who, during the Great Depression, went from playing without shoes—or even a football—to playing for the Texas state championships. September is Update Your Resume Month! Here are more resources on job hunting, resume building, and more to find your dream job!

Create-A-Bookmark Contest accepting entries until September 25.

Design a bookmark that shows an element of your favorite book: the story, the characters, the pictures or whatever inspires you! Five entry categories: K-3, 4-6, 7-8, 9-12, and adult. Entry is open to anyone living in Middlebury, Jefferson, or York Townships. See the Library's website or First State Bank's website for more details. ENTRY FORMS AVAILABLE AT LIBRARY OR FSB.

Lego Guild is for middle school aged students. The builds are slightly more challenging than those of the Lego Club for children. Each month will have a specific theme. Tuesday, September 21 at 5:30PM. Register here.

Exercise each week to a different DVD for 50-60 minutes. Get fit and active with a variety of walking routines. No floor exercises. Bring water and a towel. Must sign a waiver to participate. Register Here.
