We at Orca are taking time this Orange Shirt Day to acknowledge the harmful effects of residential schools on Indigenous communities. We honor survivors and their families and commit to the ongoing process of reconciliation.
This week, we are highlighting inspiring books created by Indigenous authors and illustrators, along with resources you can use. We hope you will share them with your students.
*Contest Details: One entry per teacher. Entries will be accepted until midnight on Thursday October 13, 2022.. Winner will be selected on Friday October 14, 2022 and contacted by email. A class set is 30 books.
