HAVE YOU LOOKED AT YOUR
PERSONNEL FILE LATELY?
Article 27 (page 47) of your contract with Bergen New Bridge Medical Center management addresses the use of a personnel file maintained by Human Resources. This is the ONLY official file for the employees. No entries, notations, or documents without having first been shown to the employee and the employee having been given the opportunity to review them and to place a letter or other document in the file concerning the entry, notation, or document. The employee is entitled to review his/her personnel file provided that you give a written request to do so to Human Resources. The file will be reviewed within three (3) working days after receipt of the request.

JNESO strongly encourages you to check your personnel file at least twice a year, but if you have a suspicion you can request to review your file a reasonable amount of times within the year.

JNESO also encourages you to initial the documents or make some sort of notation to show you have reviewed the documents.
If you find any documents you had not been made aware of in your personnel file, immediately ask for copies of the document/notes and address them with a Local Officer or your JNESO Labor Representatives.
For questions or concerns, please contact a
Local Officer or your JNESO Labor Reps:
