FLAG FOOTBALL | |
Youth in grades K-5 divisions: K-2 and 3-5 will be introduced to football in an instructional, fun and non-contact manner. Participants will learn the basic fundamentals including passing, catching, punting and offensive and defensive strategies. The season will consist of 6 weeks and be run cooperatively with the City of Mounds View.

Youth Fitness Orientation
For those ages 12-17 who want to take advantage of the Fitness Center's track, cardio equipment and weight training machines. The New Brighton Community Center requires you to take a 1 hour Youth Fitness Orientation for your health and safety before activating your fitness center access. This is a great opportunity to learn goal setting cardio workouts and proper set up on the machines for strength training. After the orientation is complete, you will have permission to use the workout equipment explained in the orientation.

ED-VENTURES DAY CARE |
Ed-Venture Care is a great opportunity for your child to spend a wonderful summer learning and having fun in an outdoor park setting. The program is held at Freedom Park in New Brighton (14th St. & Silver Lake Rd.). Qualified, caring teachers and recreation leaders will provide day-long care and activities maintaining a low staff-to-child ratio. Ed-Ventures offers weekly field trips, swimming at Highview School, trips to the Eagles Nest and more. You may register your child for 1-5 days per week. The program runs from 6:30am-6:00pm Monday through Friday. Half days are also available. One of the best things about Ed-Ventures is that you only contract for the days you need. The program runs June 8- August 30. The fee is $35 per day. For more information call Pat Tuma, 651-638-2123.

Coaches Pitch Baseball
This program is an ideal transition from t-ball to baseball. This program is dedicated to providing a fun first environment where players can learn to play the game of baseball without the added pressure of competition. Our starting rotation and bullpen of coaches will pitch soft Incrediballs to the players. All strikes of course. Teams will practice on Monday evenings and have games on Wednesday evenings. Children must have been in 1st or 2nd grade in spring of 2013 to participate in this program.

All-Star T-Ball
Is your kindergartner looking to build their skills and join a team? This learning based league is designed to teach t-ball skills such as batting, catching, throwing, running bases and teamwork. Teams practice for a half hour prior to their game. Games and practices will be held on Monday. Games are non-competitive and focus on learning and enjoying the game. Children must have been in Kindergarten in spring of 2013 to participate in this program.

Youth Girls Softball (Grades 3-5)
Batter Up! Welcome to our big leagues. Our softball teams will have the opportunity to challenge their neighbors from Roseville, Mounds View, Columbia Heights, Arden Hills and Shoreview. Teams will meet twice a week on Monday and Wednesday with practices starting in May. Based on grades children have just completed in the spring of 2013.

Summer & Fall In-House Soccer The soccer program is coordinated through the New Brighton Parks and Recreation Department. Season runs June through July. Scholarships are available. No refunds or transfers after the April 30 deadline, which signifies the start of the program. For an extra fee a new ball for you to keep will be included.Please indicate the t-shirt size, school attending fall 2013 and the number of years participant has played soccer when registering.

Soccer Mini Camps
Youth ages 3-7 will learn and practice the fundamentals of soccer through drills and games. This is a great class for beginners, to seasoned veterans looking to polish their game.
Basketball Skills Camp
Drop Step! Pivot! Jump Stop! Youth in grades k-8 will learn and improve their basketball fundamentals, while learning more about the game, and having fun while doing so.
Soccer Agility Training
Developed for youth ages 7+ who are looking to take their game to the next level! Players will participate in drills and games to improve their overall fitness, coordination, explosiveness and quickness. Players will develop ball control, foot reaction, balance, timing, flexibility and endurance.
T-Ball Round-Up
Home Run! Boys and Girls entering kindergarten will have fun while practicing basic baseball skills such as batting, catching, throwing and running bases. Through games and drills, skills will be developed that will be used for the rest of their baseball careers.
Sunday Night Football
Down-Set-Hike! Welcome to training camp for fall flag football! Children in grades K-2 and 3-5 will be introduced to football fundamentals through drills and games. Passing, catching, and focus on offensive and defensive strategies to ensure a successful flag football season. |
