Perry Continues Growth
Jack Link's Beef Jerky is now officially part of the Perry Community with a $450 million dollar investment to bring one of the company's manufacturing plants off Perry Parkway.

Community Development
The City of Perry's Community Development Department issued 5 new single-family home building permits in April, bringing the total for the year to 127.  

Skweeky Kleen Carwash #2 on Plaza Connector Drive was issued a land disturbance permit. Jersey Mike's and Dunkin Donuts are nearing completion on the west side of Sam Nunn Blvd at the I-75 Exit 136. Cook Out is under construction at the former Taco Bell location on the east side of Sam Nunn Blvd. Zaxby's is under construction on Perry Parkway beside Wendy's and Skweeky Kleen Carwash. Commercial permits were issued for the Perimeter Point Retail Center (next to Georgia Bob's), the new field house at Perry High School and renovation of the church by the new owner at 1014 WF Ragin Drive. 
 
Site permits issued for the new Grove Church on Langston Road and a liquor store at 1498 Sam Nunn (in front of Holiday Inn).

New Event Space Opens Downtown
James Farmer, a Southern author, interior designer and speaker recently celebrated a newly constructed space outdoor event space located at 936 Carroll St. beside his office building.
