New COVID-19 Business Relief Programs
Maryland has authorized $130 million in loan and grant funding for small businesses and manufacturers that have been negatively impacted by COVID-19. This emergency assistance provides interim relief that can be used to pay cash operating expenses including payroll, suppliers, rent, fixed debt payments and other mission critical cash operating costs.

If you are a Maryland-based business impacted by the Coronavirus with under 50 full and part-time employees, or a Maryland manufacturer, check out the programs to see if you qualify for assistance.

If you have questions or need assistance, please contact the Chamber staff at staff@greaterbethesdachamber.org and they will work to get the information you need.
A Message From Captain Sean Gagan, Commander, 2 nd District Police
With the most recent order from the Governor regarding mandatory closures of all non-essential businesses, Commander Sean Gagan, Montgomery County Police Department, District 2, has requested frequent business checks by his patrol shifts to try and reduce the possibilities of burglaries/looting of businesses that have been forced to close.

"I certainly understand the concerns of business owners during this crisis and we will do our part to try and minimize additional pain caused by crime," Gagan said.

If you have concerns about the safety of your business, please let us know by emailing staff@greaterbethesdachamber.org or reply to this email so that we can pass them along to Commander Gagan.
