Sponsored in-part by:
The Paid Family Medical Leave bill (PFML/SF 2) will be in Senate Commerce Committee (chaired by Senator Matt Klein) on Tuesday, January 31st, at 12:30pm. This is a massive proposal with no actuarial projections nor any cap on the proposed 0.7% payroll tax increase. Click on the video below to learn how significantly this bill will affect your business.

We are asking our legislators to:
• Consider the impact on local businesses.
• Preserve private-sector flexibility on wage, benefit & scheduling decisions. Small businesses need the ability to customize a package that is best for their employees.
• Oppose one-size fits all mandates on employee benefits that would constrain employers’ ability to conduct business.
• Consider the number of weeks in this proposal. It is the most aggressive in the country.
• Consider an amendment to exclude smaller businesses.

The Legislators need to hear from you! If you plan to contact them either in support or opposition of this proposal, we would also like to learn about your position. Please email Colleen Roth if you are willing to share your story.
