Open Access journal
CABI One Health is a new transdisciplinary open access journal. In 2022, Article Processing Charges (APCs) are being subsidised by CABI, meaning that papers can be published free of charge.
The journal promotes research and insights that will maximize One Health impact by:
- demonstrating the added value of a One Health approach to problem-solving when compared to the disciplines working independently
- fostering transdisciplinary approaches that consider academic and non-academic, practical, local and indigenous knowledge in the research process
- encouraging a balanced global coverage that features the social, political, environmental and plant sciences
- highlighting best practice in One Health research methodology, identifying the optimal methods, protocols and techniques from the full range of One Health disciplines

Educational case studies
Alongside the journal, CABI is also launching One Health Cases, a database of peer-reviewed, educational cases which cover important and contemporary topics in One Health. Cases focus on practical approaches to solving problems, spanning animal health, human health, environmental health, plant sciences and sociological issues. They consider research methodologies and, with accompanying data, show the real impact of One Health in practice.
This will be an invaluable resource for students, teachers, academics, public stakeholders, and industry practitioners. The database will be sold on a subscription model, but authors can elect to make their cases open access by paying an APC.
