2025 Student Craft Exhibition: Fashioning Icons, inviting high school students to create craft-based works inspired by iconic figures. The exhibition will run from April 5–August 17, 2025, showcasing student creativity across various mediums.

An overview of the creative life of Chris Johnson beginning with a summary of his emergence as a black and white fine art photographer under the mentorship of Ansel Adams, Imogen Cunningham, and Wynn Bullock, Johnson will discuss how his life as an artist took a turn towards art as a way to address the process of social change and prompting critical dialogue about race, justice and identity in modern life.

Suzanne Lacy is a Los Angeles-based artist and a pioneer of socially engaged public performance art. Her installations, videos, and performances deal with sexual violence, rural and urban poverty, incarceration, labor, and aging.
Teens at Mingei, a paid internship for high school sophomores and juniors starting in October 2025. This eight-month program offers hands-on experience, mentorship, and a $750 stipend while connecting students with San Diego’s arts community.
