Overview:

A comprehensive continuum of crisis services is the first line of defense in ensuring those experiencing a behavioral health crisis receive care when and where it is needed. But implementing these services requires careful evaluation and planning. This session will provide an overview of the key components of crisis care with an emphasis on conducting a community needs assessment, making accurate capacity and funding projections, and discussion the considerations needed for success.

Meet the Speaker:

Paul Galdys (he/him), MBA, CPRP, joined RI International as Deputy CEO in June of 2017. Prior to joining RI, he served as an Assistant Director in Arizona Medicaid in support of $12 billion in health care service delivery annually. Paul was the lead writer of the National Guidelines for Behavioral Health Crisis Care – A Best Practice Toolkit published by SAMHSA in February 2020 and led the development of the Crisis Resource Need Calculator being used throughout the nation to support the design of crisis systems.
