Dear CHCF alumni,

Last week, you received the save the date announcement for the Fall Alumni Meeting on October 1-2, 2021. I look forward to seeing each of you there as we celebrate a “homecoming!”

I’m also pleased to announce that the Alumni Network is piloting a new sliding fee membership dues structure. Although we’ve gone a year without membership dues, we recognize they are vital to support the activities for our 500+ leaders across the state. Your annual membership dues supplement California Health Care Foundation’s (CHCF) contributions for administrative expenses including semi-annual meetings, workgroup support and more. However, we heard from some alumni that dues are a financial hardship. In the recent annual alumni survey, we asked some questions to better understand the extent of the hardship and your ideas for how we might address it.

Based on your feedback in the alumni survey, the CHCF Alumni Board has approved a pilot dues structure that is intended to increases equity in alumni participation while continuing to raise enough revenue to cover alumni expenses. A link to pay annual dues will be provided in fall. We will continue to assess this pilot structure over time.

As always, thank you for your feedback, engagement, and continued support of the CHCF Alumni Network! We hope all members continue to enjoy the Network benefits by engaging with one another as we seek to improve health care and build our own resiliency as providers.

Thank you,
Maria Urena, CHCF Alumni Network Board President
