Dear Families,

It is with the utmost excitement that I share with you an important development for our academy. Over the past few years, our humble Archway Trivium East community has flourished far beyond what we could ever have imagined. With the goal to better serve our own community of scholars, we set out to design the perfect academy that will serve our scholars beyond their elementary school years.

I am pleased to formally announce that we have found the location of our new home. In August of 2022, we will open the doors of our new campus to our scholars in the West Valley. Fixed between the beautiful foothills of the Estrella and White Tank mountain ranges, our new campus will be best suited to serve the fastest growing community in the nation. Just ten minutes west of our current academy, the new school at the intersection of Jackrabbit Trail and Van Buren was specifically chosen to both accommodate the commute of our current families and faculty and to help meet the growing demand for this mission that continues to shape the lives of families and their children.

As you can infer, our namesake, Archway Trivium East, will no longer carry the same meaning. We will no longer be East of our sister school, and now we are branching out to begin a new chapter in the life of our academy. As we transition to our new location, we will proudly take on the name Archway Roosevelt. Our school name is inspired by Quentin Roosevelt, the son of our 26th President, Theodore Roosevelt. You will hear more of his story as we discuss this in the year ahead. In short, he was a young man who had all the privileges this world had to offer, and yet, he gave it all up to become a WWI fighter pilot in an act of love and sacrifice to his country, laying down his life for his fellow men and women. His legacy and story will reinforce the values that we esteem and seek to cultivate in our students – selflessness, love, and sacrifice.

Furthermore, we will share our facility with our newest academy, Roosevelt Preparatory Academy. Mr. Tony Cruz, currently serving as Assistant Headmaster of Maryvale Prep, will be leading the charge as Headmaster of the Prep school. It is currently designed to launch with grades 6-8 and be built out each grade in subsequent years until our first Seniors graduate in 2027!

We realize that, while this is thrilling news, this is a big change that sparks many questions. We want to make sure we partner with you every step of the way to ensure the smoothest transition possible. It must be emphasized that all current Archway Trivium East families now here will be able to re-enroll their students into the Archway Roosevelt campus, as we normally do year by year. The new building is designed to carry with it the community and culture of our current academy, and we hope that each and every one of you will join us during the move.

We also recognize that every situation is unique, and that a change in location may not be ideal for some of our families. We are also happy to announce that our sister school, Archway Trivium West, will be expanding to accommodate the growing demand in the West Valley. Opening up additional sections will also give current priority enrollment status to Archway Trivium East families wanting to transfer to Archway Trivium West, if this better serves the needs of your family.

There are many exciting details to share with you about our new location! In order to best address the many questions that this news inevitably brings, we will be hosting a townhall in the very near future. We will follow up with more information at a later time. Please submit any queries you have to questions@greatheartsamerica.org so we can properly respond to the questions on the minds of our community. Please feel free to also reach out to me if you have questions you would like addressed prior to the townhall.

I would like to thank you, again, for entrusting us with the hearts of your children this year. You have demonstrated unending good will, grace, and gratitude throughout a most challenging school year. It has been a privilege to serve alongside my great colleagues and be a part of this beautiful community during this time. Loving sacrifice has been the theme this year from every member of our ATE family.

Like a childhood home, this campus will always carry a special place in our hearts. The memories formed here and the hearts transformed here will endure, and we will carry the torch of this mission into a new and exhilarating future ahead. I look forward to our continued partnership together as we work alongside you to the cultivate of the hearts and mind of your precious children.

Queridas familias,
